General Information
Founded in 1975, the Montvale Free Public Library has been a cornerstone of learning, connection, and community growth for nearly five decades. Located within the Montvale Borough Hall at 12 DePiero Drive, the library continues to evolve to meet the needs of residents of all ages.
Our Mission
The Montvale Free Public Library is dedicated to providing modern resources, technology, and services that support the educational, recreational, and informational needs of the community. Our goal is to enrich both individual lives and the collective life of Montvale through accessible, high‑quality library services.
What We Offer
We strive to be more than a place to borrow books. Patrons can enjoy:
- Engaging lectures, workshops, and book discussions
- A wide range of children’s programs designed to inspire young readers
- Access to materials from over 77 libraries through the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS)
Leadership
The library is led by Giulia Bombace, Library Director, who works full‑time under the guidance of the Montvale Library Board of Trustees to ensure exceptional service and continued innovation.
