Use Permits

In the Borough of Montvale, a Use Permit is required for all changes in occupancy in any existing building. Applications that satisfy the following criteria are exempt from obtaining full amended site plan approval:

• Change of use of existing space within a building
• Prior site plan approval obtained
• No changes to building footprint
• No external construction
• Adequate parking provided for new use
