Environmental Commission

The Environmental Commission is responsible for studying local environmental conditions and advising the Mayor and Council on matters such as preserving open and green space, reducing pollution, managing waste, protecting soil and natural landscapes, safeguarding water resources, and maintaining the Borough’s natural beauty, wildlife, and plant life.

The Commission is committed to conserving Montvale’s valuable open spaces and protecting the Borough’s natural and historic resources, all while supporting a safe, healthy, and vibrant community.

The Environmental Commission meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:45 PM (no meeting in December). Meetings take place in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex, 12 DePiero Drive, Montvale.
